The school year is finally coming to an end, and warmer temperatures are just around the corner. In between vacations and hanging out with friends it can be hard to find things to do, but there are always ways to have fun with your friends and family.
1. Watching summer movies is a great way to spend your summer break. Movies like Mamma Mia, Teen Beach Movie, Clueless and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off are prime examples of movies that have that summer-feel to them. Movies are easy to watch and can take up a lot of time, which is good if you are bored.
2. Hiking is a great way to enjoy the summer weather and the nature around it. Patapsco State Park is a good place to hike on because there is a stream surrounding it and lots of scenery. Cascade Falls Trail is another great area because you can admire the waterfall and trees nearby while you hike.

3. Summer is known for being the hottest time of the year, and being near the water is the perfect way to cool off during this season. Going to the beach is one of the best places for this. Places like Ocean City and the Sandy Point State Park are good examples of where to go when you want to tan, spend time with your friends or family, or cool off in the waves.
4. In the summer it is important to get outside and enjoy the warm weather. Having a picnic is a great way to do that. Some common picnic foods are sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit, chicken and various drinks like lemonade or tea. You can have a picnic at your local park, or even just in your backyard. It is also a great way to catch up with your friends, or just enjoy your own company.

5. For the people that enjoy adrenaline and thrills, going to an amusement park is a great suggestion for you. Some amusement parks nearby are Hershey Park and Six Flags America. Going to an amusement park is an activity that fills up the entire day, so you don’t have to worry about getting bored or trying to find something else to do. You also don’t have to worry about an empty stomach. While you’re there, you can fill up on funnel cake, hot dogs, popcorn, and other fun finger foods.
So, whether it's between thrills of an amusement park or the laid-back vibe of a picnic, with this list, you have the power to make this summer the highlight of your year.
