While some Howard High School seniors athletes are currently deciding between colleges, there are several athletes who have already signed to further their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
2021 Howard County Girls Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year, Nimrit Ahuja, will be running track and cross country at Brown University, an Ivy League School in Providence, Rhode Island. She is most excited about traveling to different states for meets and becoming close with her new teammates.

Varsity track star Joey Raudabaugh has committed to run at Penn State. “I'm most excited for all of the new facilities and training I will be getting, as well as getting a higher level of competition within and beyond the team,” Raudabaugh stated.

Maddie Coleman is a dominant pitcher and the team captain for the Howard Softball team. Next year, Coleman will be attending and playing for Mount St. Mary’s. “I am beyond excited to enter an academic based softball community where I can get a great education while achieving my dream of playing Division I softball,” Coleman said.

Justin Nketia, a former linebacker for the Howard High School Football team, recently committed to Lock Haven University. Nketia stated, “Being far from home is going to take some getting used to. I'm really excited to take my game to the next level. I am also extremely lucky to get an opportunity like this. It's going to be very challenging, but I'm ready for it.”

Howard Football defensive powerhouse Daniel McPherson has committed to Division II school, Shepherd University. McPherson stated, “It's crazy to see how far I've come. It's so surreal to be getting this opportunity. I can’t wait to keep playing”

Howard High School has produced many successful student athletes. Their perseverance has paid off and has provided them with amazing opportunities.
