Midyear 2022

Every year, Howard High School holds a seniors only event known as Midyear. This year, Midyear was held at Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, Maryland on March 18. With loud music and lots of food, everyone had loads of fun. Senior Skylar Ehart said, “The dance was more fun than I expected! I spent most of the night dancing with all my friends on the dance floor!” Some of the delicious food included cookies, chicken tenders, quesadillas and more. The theme this year, and every year, was “formal,” or black and white. The DJ played a variety of music, from Taylor Swift to NBA Youngboy, fan favorites of the students at Howard High. Midyear is a beloved event for the seniors because they have to share prom with the juniors. Senior Megan Otchet said, “After such a long year it was so nice to have just our grade come together as seniors.” This tradition allows for the senior class to have a private event without any other classes, something that all underclassmen look forward to in their senior year.
