- iPhone 14 series
In addition, the iPhone mini might discontinue favoring a bigger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 max, according to recent rumors. iPhone 14’s base model is expected to be 6.1 inches.
2. iPhone SE plus
Apple’s most inexpensive phone is due for an update! However, Apple has been quiet about the exact release date. According to rumors, the new model is expected to have a larger screen with a 5.5-inch or 6.1-inch display and some feature upgrades, but the bigger screen does defeat the idea of having an affordable option, so the price of the phone might jump up closer to the price of the XR instead of $399.
3. AirPods Pro 2
The next much-anticipated earbuds are the Apple Airpods Pro 2, after the drop of the Airpods 3. Apple analysts say that we can expect them to come out in the fall of 2022. These up-scale earbuds will likely have a compact design and a new wireless chip. This will presumably eliminate the present short stem that sticks out at the bottom of the AirPods. They will bring some admirable new features including improved sound quality and maybe even a built-in fitness tracking system. This will, of course, increase its appeal.
4. New Apple Watch Models
There have been rumors suggesting that two other Apple watches will be coming out this year alongside the Apple Watch 8. One of them is expected to be the mid-range Apple Watch SE 2, in terms of price, while the other one may be more of an inexpensive option. Smartwatches will continue to focus on health. The series 8 could possibly incorporate a glucose sensor, blood pressure monitoring sensor, improved sleep tracking tech and body temperature sensor. Its exterior design will most likely stay the same.
5. iPad Pro with glass back
To match the 12.9-inch model, according to analysts, the iPad Pro 11-inch model will get the mini LED upgrade in 2022. This will be a huge improvement and upgrade from the common LCD as it will allow the user more control over the contrast and produce more vibrant colors and bright lights. The exterior design is not likely to change, but some of the new models of the iPad Pros might feature sleek glass backs rather than aluminum. What's better is this could be the first time that wireless charging is available on an iPad according to Bloomberg. Time will tell if this will be confined to Qi charging or heading towards the Magsafe direction. The iPad Pro might also include reverse wireless charging that will allow users by placing them on the rear end of the tablet to charge Qi-enabled iPhones and AirPods.
6. New Emojis in iOS 15.4
As a part of the first iOS15.4 beta, new emojis will be added. A pregnant man, a mirror disco ball, melting face, and multi-racial handshake emojis are just some of the new ones that will be included. Just to give an idea, there will be new smiley faces, gender consistency, new hand gestures with skin tone modifiers, new animals & nature, objects, food & drink, and symbols.
7. AR Device(s):
Apple has been working on launching AR Glasses and says they will be dependent on iPhones, just like the set up of the first generation Apple watches. Apple is most likely trying to calibrate the weight of the glasses to replicate the weight of regular glasses and still be able to manage the hardware that comes with them. They claim that it will provide a 3D virtual view of a user’s environment with visual content. Another device Apple has been teasing is the Apple Car, which is expected to be an electric car operating on a battery or may take a turn to solar. Apple plans to team up with Hyundai to produce these cars by 2024 and get them in the market by 2030. Apple has also been venturing into foldable phones, which they plan to launch in the next two years. The iPhone, despite the hinge in the middle, will look flawless. They’ve claimed to have tested two models already that passed the durability test.
